Gerona: 37 Km away. The ‘call de Girona’ is the most well preserved Hebrew neighbourhood in Catalonia  and one of the most outstanding in the whole of Spain. It was home to one of the largest Hebrew communities, and the first Kabbalistic school on the Iberian peninsular. Cathedral with Baroque façade and unique gothic style nave, the widest gothic nave in Europe; among the cathedral’s treasures is the ‘Creation Tapestry’ (1100 AD). Arab baths.  Diocesan museum. Archaeological walk and walls. The church of San Feliu. The monastery of San Pedro of Galligans (12th Century cloister).

Figueras: 70 Km away. The Dalí theatre-museum can be found in Figueras, the only museum in Europe, of the two that exist in the world, solely dedicated to Salvador Dalí; it brings together paintings, sculptures, jewellery, sketches and engravings by the surrealist Catalan genius.

Aiguamolls del Ampurdán: one hour away by car. Located in the Bay of Roses coastal strip, in the Ampurdán. Aside from the usual flora and fauna, the Aiguamolls are an outstanding intercontinental gathering point for birds of passage. An incomparable retreat during the migration of large numbers of water birds.

Botanical gardens: 47Km and 17 Km away. There are three botanical gardens on the Costa Brava that bring together collections of plants catalogued as some of the best in Europe. The "Mar y Mutra" and the "Piña de Rosa" in Blanes. The "Cap Roig" in Palafrugell.

Ampurias: 35 Km away. Ampurias is the only place where a Greek city and factory, a little "indigets" (Iberian people) village and a Roman city converge. The jetty in the port is one of the most monumental feats of ancient engineering on the Iberian peninsular.

Bañolas: 58 Km away. Bañolas lake is the only one of its kind in Catalonia. It feeds on subterranean springs that gush out from its depths, and that regularly provide 600 litres of water per second. It has a surface area of 1 Km and a maximum depth of 62 meters.

Islas Medas: 45Km away. A protected zone formed by an archipelago of six islets and some reefs. Located 900 meters away from Estartit, it is well known for its rich sea bed, teeming with fish and ideal for scuba diving and underwater photography. The island fauna is also worth a particular mention.

Románico: 124 Km and 90Km away respectively. The façade of the Ripioll monastery is one of the most spectacular works of Roman sculpture. The church at the San Pedro de Rodas monastery is considered to be an exceptional and unique work of medieval architecture.

Interior: Besalú 72 Km away. Ancient medieval city. Imposing Roman bridge (12th century) on the river Fluvià. Historical monuments. Castellfollit de la Roca 85 Km away. In Castellfollit de la Roca, in the Garrocha, there is a unique example of a deeply carved stone basalt cliff face, eroded by two rivers.
